Welcome back to the Travelling Artists’ Guild, one of Imagi-Nation’s most venerable organisations. Though you might not remember, you have been here before. Most of us visit for the first time as children, or in our dreams of what might be.
On occasion, the Guild sends out emissaries who present artists with an invitation to gather in its halls. Those who respond receive the invitation to undertake a journey of discovery into the Imagi-Nation, to bring back news, tales and art from the farthest-flung reaches of the realm. The Traveling Artists’ Guild holds its explorer artists in high esteem, as without them, extensive areas of Imagi-Nation would remain forever unknown.
Many of us declined the first call, choosing, at least for a while, other paths in life. The Guild invitation is open, though, as the Guild trusts that its artists will return one day and consent to journey, when the time in their lives is right for such an undertaking. You are here, now, because your time has come.
If you are a “core group” artist, your name is listed on the “Artists” page, and you have posting rights for this blog.
Please post a brief introduction
In your intro, please say who you are in “real” life, tell us a little about the kind of art you create, and share your journey name, if you decide to have one. I’ll add your journey name (fantasy name) to the TAG list, as soon as I know the name under which you you will be travelling. If you choose not to travel under a journey name, I’ll add your real name to the tag list.
Here are three name generators you might find helpful.

Behind the Name
Before you publish your intro
Before you click the “PUBLISH” button to share your intro with the world, select (1) the CATEGORY “Artists” and (2) the TAG “Intros” from the list you’ll see on the dashboard, on the right-hand side of the page. Depending on the size of your monitor, you may need to scroll down a little to see the CATEGORY and TAG options.
If you take a look at the tags at the end of my intro, you’ll see it is listed in the CATEGORY “Artists” and carries the TAGS “Intros”.
When you publish story/artwork
When you post story and/or artwork, in future, select the CATEGORY “Journey” and the TAG “Your Journey Name”. The journey name will be the one you’ve chosen. You can use your real name or a role name. That makes it easy for you and for others to pull up all messages from an individual artist.
If you take a look at my first journey post, you’ll see I’ll select the CATEGORY “Journey” and the TAG “Alba”. Alba is the name of my journey character.
When I post prompts, I’ll use the CATEGORY “Project Description” and the TAG “Prompts”. That makes it easy for you to pull up all prompts, for easy reference.
